Warren, MO (January 15, 2026) – A severe two-vehicle collision involving multiple injuries and pedestrian victims occurred late Wednesday afternoon in Warren County. The incident took place around 5:21 p.m. on January 14 along westbound Main St, just west of MO-47.
According to reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2015 Ford Taurus was traveling west when it accelerated through the intersection. At the same time, a 2006 Chevrolet Impala attempted to turn onto Main St from southbound MO-47. The front end of the Taurus struck the rear of the Impala at high speed, causing the Impala to leave the roadway and crash into a nearby building occupied by several individuals.
The violent impact resulted in both vehicles being totaled and towed by Prime Towing. Emergency responders from the Warrenton Police Department, Warren County Fire, and both Warren and St. Charles County Ambulance Districts rushed to assist numerous injured parties.
A 26-year-old female driver of the Impala and a 1-year-old male passenger were transported to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis with minor and moderate injuries, respectively. The 76-year-old male driver of the Taurus, along with several pedestrians—ranging in age from 12 to 60—also sustained various levels of injuries. A 60-year-old female pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was among those hospitalized.
Multiple ambulances were required to transport the injured to various regional hospitals, including Mercy Hospital St. Louis, SSM Health St. Joseph, and Progress West Hospital.
Investigators continue to examine the sequence of events leading to the crash. The presence of a vehicle striking an occupied structure has prompted additional review of safety conditions in the area. Our thoughts are with all those affected, and we wish each injured individual a full and rapid recovery.
