Why Hit-and-Run Bicycle Crashes Are Especially Dangerous
Hit-and-run crashes involving bicyclists can be particularly dangerous because victims may not receive immediate assistance from the responsible driver. Cyclists are highly vulnerable in collisions with vehicles, often suffering serious injuries due to a lack of protection.
When a driver leaves the scene, it can delay emergency response and complicate investigations. Quick reporting by witnesses and cooperation with authorities are critical in helping identify those responsible and ensuring victims receive timely medical care.
