West Hartford, CT (January 26, 2026) – A two-vehicle accident caused significant disruptions and left one person injured on Saturday morning at the intersection of Braeburn Rd and Mountain Rd in West Hartford.
The incident occurred around 10:34 a.m. on January 24. Emergency crews responded promptly to the scene, where one of the vehicles, a light-colored SUV, had sustained heavy front-end damage. First responders rendered aid to at least one injured individual at the scene, who was later transported for further medical care.
As a result of the crash, the roadway was temporarily shut down in both directions. Utility crews responded to address damage to a speed limit sign and a section of guardrail, while public works teams were notified to assist with repairs.
Communication issues were noted between some of the parties involved, but responders worked efficiently to manage the scene. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
