Westminster, CA (January 5, 2026) – A traffic collision early Friday morning on the eastbound Garden Grove Freeway (SR-22) at the Beach Boulevard on-ramp resulted in reported injuries and delays for commuters in Westminster.
The crash occurred at approximately 6:37 a.m., during the height of morning traffic. The incident involved multiple vehicles merging onto the eastbound lanes from the Beach Blvd entrance, a high-traffic area known for rapid lane changes and heavy congestion.
Injured individuals received prompt assistance from paramedics at the scene. Emergency medical personnel treated several victims, and at least one person was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation. The full extent of the injuries has not yet been disclosed.
California Highway Patrol officers responded quickly, working to control traffic and direct vehicles away from the affected lanes. Crews cleared the scene within the hour, but delays lingered as traffic recovered along the on-ramp and adjacent freeway lanes.
