Winfield, KS (May 3, 2026) – A 48-year-old man died, and a woman was hurt in a two-vehicle crash late Saturday night, May 2, southwest of Winfield. The collision happened shortly after 11:30 p.m. at U.S. 77 and 202nd Road.
Officials said a black Volkswagen Jetta was turning left from 202nd Road to travel north on U.S. 77. As the car entered the intersection, it collided with a southbound Chevy Trax.
The man’s name was not included in the initial report. The woman’s condition was also not immediately released, and the report did not confirm which vehicle each person occupied.
The incident remains under review by authorities.
