What Investigators Review in Crashes Involving Commercial or County Vehicles
When a commercial or government vehicle is involved in a crash, investigators often examine driver actions, speed, and right-of-way at the time of impact. These cases may also include additional review of vehicle maintenance records and operational procedures.
Intersection crashes are commonly analyzed for visibility issues, traffic signal timing, and turning movements. In some cases, one vehicle leaving the roadway and entering a wooded area may indicate a sudden evasive maneuver or loss of control.
Investigators also study vehicle positioning, roadway markings, and witness accounts to better understand how the crash unfolded. Injury severity can vary depending on impact angle and how the vehicles collided.
