Woodland Hills, CA (January 23, 2026) – A devastating early morning accident claimed one life and injured another after a vehicle crashed into a tree in Woodland Hills on Tuesday, authorities confirmed.
The collision took place just before 1:25 a.m. on January 20 in the 5900 block of North Valley Circle Boulevard near Canon Avenue. Preliminary details from the Los Angeles Police Department indicate that the vehicle, occupied by two men, was traveling at high speed when the driver lost control, causing the car to veer off the road and crash into a tree.
Both occupants were trapped inside the wreckage. Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded swiftly and worked to extricate the men from the severely damaged vehicle. Tragically, the passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver survived the impact and was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries, though his current condition remains undisclosed.
