Austin, TX (July 9, 2026) – One person lost their life after being struck by a vehicle while using a wheelchair along the westbound service road in the 500 block of E Ben White Boulevard.
Emergency units were called at about 5:42 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, where they found an adult who had been hit by a vehicle. The person was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances leading up to the collision have not yet been released.
The person’s identity had not been made public as of this report.
The cause of the accident remains under review as investigators continue gathering information.
