San Antonio, TX (July 9, 2026) – A pedestrian was critically hurt on Tuesday night, July 7, after being struck by a vehicle in the 2400 block of Babcock Road near Wurzbach Road on the city’s Northwest Side.
The incident occurred shortly before 9 p.m. According to a preliminary report, the person attempted to cross several lanes of traffic in a section of the roadway that did not have a marked crosswalk. A driver then hit the pedestrian.
Emergency units arrived and took the pedestrian to a nearby hospital, where the person was listed in critical condition. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
The cause of the crash continues to be examined as more information becomes available.
