San Bernardino, CA (June 9, 2026) – A collision involving a white pickup truck and a blue Chevrolet Trax was reported on June 8 along northbound Interstate 15 near the Cajon Scales in San Bernardino County.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the vehicles were in the right lane of I-15 northbound at about 4:13 p.m. Initial information indicated that the Chevrolet Trax came to rest, partially blocking a traffic lane. Reports later showed that the other vehicle continued traveling north after the contact.
Records indicate a 54-year-old person complained of pain and requested medical assistance. A tow truck was also requested to remove the disabled vehicle from the highway.
The identities of those involved have not yet been released.
CHP is still working to determine the circumstances of the hit-and-run and identify all parties involved.
