Camden County, MO (June 9, 2026) – A three-person injury collision occurred on Monday afternoon at the intersection of Missouri Route 5 and Missouri Route 7 in Camden County.
The crash happened at approximately 1:00 p.m. Investigators said a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe was turning left from Missouri Route 7 when it failed to yield to a southbound 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 traveling on Missouri Route 5.
The Chevrolet struck the Hyundai during the turn. The Silverado driver, a 47-year-old man from Overland Park, Kansas, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment.
Inside the Hyundai were a 61-year-old woman driver from Steelville and a 9-year-old girl. Both were taken to the same hospital with moderate injuries.
Both vehicles were heavily damaged and required towing from the intersection. No additional information regarding contributing factors was released.
