Alvarado, TX (May 13, 2026) – One person died following a crash involving an 18-wheeler and a sedan on Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 35W in Alvarado.
Emergency units responded around 12:30 p.m. to the southbound lanes of I-35W near County Road 604 after reports of a serious collision involving a passenger car and a semi-truck. Officials confirmed that one person was killed in the crash.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased or clarified which vehicle the victim occupied. Details regarding what caused the collision also remain limited at this time.
Southbound lanes of the interstate were temporarily shut down while crews investigated the scene and cleared debris from the roadway. Traffic in the area was impacted during the closure.
