What Factors Are Commonly Reviewed in Intersection Motorcycle Crashes?
Intersection crashes involving motorcycles often involve a detailed review of turning movements and right-of-way conditions. Investigators typically examine whether a turning vehicle had sufficient time and space to complete the maneuver safely, taking oncoming traffic into account.
Visibility at intersections can also play a major role, especially at night when lighting is limited. Road design, lane markings, and signal timing may be reviewed to determine how clearly each driver could see approaching vehicles.
Motorcycle collisions are also assessed based on impact points and vehicle positioning after the crash. These details can help reconstruct the sequence of events leading up to the collision and provide context for how the crash unfolded.
