Bartonville, IL (March 26, 2026) – A man died after being struck by a vehicle on Tuesday, March 24, in Bartonville. Emergency units responded shortly before 2 p.m. to Keller Street near Bartonville Grade School.
Officials said 90-year-old Carlos P. Martinez was hit by a car and initially remained conscious and alert. His condition quickly worsened, and he was taken to a hospital where he later died at 2:27 p.m.
Authorities confirmed he suffered multiple blunt force injuries. Additional details about the driver or how the crash occurred have not been released.
