Why Single-Vehicle Rollovers Can Be Deadly
Rollovers are among the most dangerous types of crashes because the vehicle often flips multiple times, creating high forces that can severely injure occupants. Vehicles leaving highways can encounter embankments, trees, or other obstacles, which increases the risk of fatal outcomes.
Occupants who are not properly restrained are at higher risk of ejection, which dramatically increases the likelihood of death. Emergency responders face challenges during these crashes, as accessing occupants in heavily damaged vehicles often requires specialized equipment and careful extraction to prevent further injury.
