What Is Often Reviewed After a Rural Highway Crash
Crashes on rural highways can involve higher speeds and limited access points such as private drives. When a vehicle enters or exits a roadway from a driveway, visibility and timing are often key factors.
Investigators may examine road layout, sight distance, and whether either vehicle left its lane before impact. When a vehicle overturns, they also look at tire marks and the vehicle’s path after leaving the roadway.
Highway shoulders, traffic flow, and vehicle positioning can help show how the collision unfolded. In areas with fewer traffic controls, driver judgment and reaction time can heavily influence the outcome of a crash.
