Why Wrong-Way and Impaired Driving Crashes Are Especially Dangerous
Crashes involving wrong-way drivers and suspected alcohol impairment are particularly hazardous. High speeds, sudden changes in direction, and reduced reaction time make it difficult for other drivers and pedestrians to avoid collisions.
Parking lots and roadside areas can become especially dangerous because vehicles, motorcycles, and pedestrians are often in proximity. Head injuries and abdominal trauma are common in these types of accidents due to the force of impact.
Awareness, responsible driving, and avoiding alcohol before operating a vehicle are critical in preventing severe crashes. Quick medical attention is also essential for victims in these high-impact incidents.
