Chesterville, OH (January 23, 2026) – A late-night house fire in Chester Township claimed one life after a two-story home was consumed by flames on Wednesday evening in Morrow County.
The Big Walnut Joint Fire District reported that the call came in around 10:30 p.m. regarding a fire on County Rd 179, located just west of Fredericktown and south of Chesterville. Fire crews arrived on scene at 10:48 p.m. to find the home already fully engulfed.
