How Multi-Vehicle Crashes Can Affect Occupants Differently
In multi-vehicle crashes, injury severity can vary widely depending on factors such as vehicle position, speed, and whether occupants are restrained. Smaller passengers, especially children, can be more vulnerable due to their size and seating position.
Seat belt use is a major factor in reducing the risk of fatal injury in high-impact collisions. When vehicles are struck at high speeds, the impact force can cause serious harm, even if only one point of contact occurs.
Emergency response in these incidents often includes multiple hospitals, especially when both adults and children are involved. Each case is assessed individually based on injury severity and transport needs.
