What Is Often Reviewed After a Failure-to-Yield Crash at a Highway Intersection?
Crashes at highway intersections often involve questions about timing and right-of-way. When one vehicle attempts to cross or enter a highway, drivers must judge the speed and distance of approaching traffic. Misjudging either can lead to serious collisions.
Visibility is another factor that may affect these situations. Obstructions, weather conditions, or the layout of the intersection can limit how clearly drivers see oncoming vehicles. This can make it harder to react in time.
Traffic flow on highways is typically faster than on smaller roads, which increases the severity of crashes when they occur. Evaluating vehicle positions, road design, and driver actions can help clarify how these incidents happen.
