Dallas, TX (April 27, 2026) – A deadly early morning crash involving multiple vehicles shut down all northbound lanes of Loop 12 in Dallas for several hours on Monday.
According to the Dallas Police Department, the collision occurred around 1:59 a.m. near the 2900 block of North Walton Walker Boulevard, close to the Singleton Boulevard area. Emergency crews responded to the scene and found a serious multi-vehicle incident involving a sedan, a motorcycle, and a flatbed trailer.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the flatbed trailer was stopped and blocking a lane of traffic when a sedan attempted to avoid it. During that maneuver, the sedan collided with a motorcycle. The motorcyclist was then thrown into the stopped trailer.
Authorities confirmed that the motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash led to a full closure of all northbound lanes on Loop 12 as investigators processed the scene and crews worked to clear the wreckage. Traffic was heavily impacted, with vehicles being diverted and controlled through limited access points.
By approximately 8:15 a.m., the scene had been cleared, and all lanes were fully reopened by 9:53 a.m.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released, and the investigation remains ongoing.
