Danby, VT (January 20, 2026) – Emergency crews responded Monday morning to a serious industrial accident at a quarry facility on Quarry Hill Rd in Danby after a large slab of marble reportedly fell on a worker.
The incident occurred around 11:23 a.m. at 886 Quarry Hill Rd. According to emergency radio updates, the victim suffered severe injuries and required immediate medical attention. A LifeNet medical helicopter was dispatched and arrived at the landing zone to await EMS transport.
