Kansas City, KS (July 5, 2026) – A wrong-way driver died after a head-on crash in the 3000 block of Parallel Parkway in Kansas City. Emergency units were dispatched to the scene at about 10:55 p.m. on July 4, following reports of an injury collision.
Initial investigation stated that a car was traveling the wrong way on Parallel Parkway when it collided head-on with another vehicle. The struck vehicle was occupied by two adults and three juveniles. All of the people involved were taken to area hospitals with serious injuries. Officials said the two adults and three juveniles remain in serious but stable condition.
The wrong-way driver later died from injuries sustained in the crash. The identity of the deceased has not been released. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
