Utility Pole Crashes and Roadway Hazards
Crashes involving utility poles can create dangerous conditions for motorists, emergency responders, and nearby residents. Downed power lines may block roadways and pose serious electrical hazards, often requiring extended road closures while utility crews complete repairs.
Officials remind drivers to use caution when traveling near emergency scenes and to avoid any downed wires, which should always be treated as live and dangerous.
