Risks Associated With Police Pursuits
Police pursuits can quickly become dangerous when drivers attempt to evade law enforcement at high speeds or through residential areas. Loss of vehicle control is a common factor in pursuit-related crashes, especially during nighttime hours or sudden evasive maneuvers.
Authorities continue to encourage drivers to comply with traffic stops and avoid actions that could endanger themselves, passengers, officers, and the public.
