Wrong-Way Crash Dangers
Wrong-way crashes are among the most dangerous types of roadway collisions because they often occur at high speeds and result in head-on or near head-on impacts. These crashes frequently lead to severe or fatal injuries due to the force involved.
Transportation officials continue to emphasize the importance of roadway awareness, proper signage, and impaired driving prevention as part of ongoing efforts to reduce wrong-way incidents on highways and interstate ramps.
