The identities of those involved have not been released due to the ongoing investigation.
Our thoughts are with the injured pedestrian as he recovers.
Pedestrian Safety on Roadways
Pedestrians walking along or within roadways face increased risks, especially during nighttime hours or in areas with limited visibility. Drivers may have difficulty seeing individuals in traffic lanes, particularly when pedestrians are pushing carts, bicycles, or other objects.
Officials encourage pedestrians to use sidewalks whenever available and wear reflective or brightly colored clothing at night. Drivers are also reminded to remain alert for people walking near roadways and to adjust speed according to visibility and traffic conditions.
