Evansville, IN (February 2, 2026) – Emergency crews were dispatched late Saturday night following reports of a vehicle crash with injuries along the eastbound lanes of the Lloyd Expressway near North Main St in Evansville. The incident occurred just before midnight on January 31.
According to dispatch audio, a passing officer initially spotted the wreck and reported it in without vehicle descriptions. Soon after, Engine 3 and multiple police units were directed to the scene to investigate the crash and assist any injured individuals.
Emergency responders coordinated over Fire Ground 3 as they worked to locate and manage the situation. Although the number of vehicles involved has not been confirmed, at least one injury was reported in the early transmissions. Further medical details have not yet been released.
Traffic in the area was briefly impacted as crews worked along the elevated portion of the expressway. The incident remains under investigation.
