How Do Motorcycle Crashes Differ from Other Roadway Accidents?
Roads like North Main Street and Fulton Street often serve both local traffic and steady through movement. When injury crashes occur in Farmington, crews usually secure the area while focusing on those involved.
Motorcycle crashes can lead to more serious outcomes compared to other types of accidents. Riders have less protection than people inside cars, which can increase the chance of injury even at lower speeds. Helmets and protective gear may help reduce harm, but risks remain higher.
Intersections are common locations for motorcycle crashes due to turning movements and limited visibility. Drivers and riders may not always see each other in time, especially during evening hours. Traffic flow and lighting conditions can also affect how quickly people react in these situations.
