How High-Speed Driving Can Increase Crash Risks
Driving at high speeds can reduce the time a driver has to react to changing road conditions. Sudden turns, obstacles, or other vehicles may become harder to avoid when speed increases.
Erratic driving can also affect how a vehicle handles, especially on local roads with intersections or curves. Loss of control may occur more easily, increasing the chance of a crash.
Roadway design, traffic levels, and driver behavior all influence how these incidents unfold. Maintaining steady speeds and staying aware of surroundings can help reduce the likelihood of serious collisions.
