Fayetteville, NC (August 26, 2026) – A fatal collision involving a car and a large service truck occurred on NC 24 near Downing Road in Fayetteville on Monday, August 24, around 6:15 p.m. One of the drivers was killed in the incident.
According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the car failed to yield the right of way before the service truck struck it. The driver of the car died at the scene. It was not immediately clear whether anyone else was inside the car. The service truck driver was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
