Workplace Risks Around Trees and Live Wires
Tree work can become dangerous when branches, tools, or equipment are near live wires. Electrical contact may cause severe burns, heart problems, or other life-threatening injuries.
Landscaping crews often work around homes, sidewalks, and overhead utility lines. These areas can leave little room for movement, especially when workers are elevated in or near a tree.
Workplace incidents involving electricity may also create risks for others nearby. A wire, branch, ladder, or tool can carry electrical current after contact. For that reason, scenes involving live wires often require careful spacing and hazard control before the area is safe.
