What Risks Are Common in Motorcycle Crashes on Highways?
Motorcycle crashes on highways often involve higher speeds, which can increase the severity of injuries. Without the structural protection of a car, riders are more exposed during an impact.
Visibility is another factor, as motorcycles are smaller and may be harder for drivers to see, especially during lane changes or turns. Misjudging distance or speed can lead to serious collisions.
Road conditions also affect motorcycles more than larger vehicles. Uneven pavement, debris, or sudden obstacles can disrupt balance and control. These factors, combined with traffic flow, can increase the risk of a crash on busy highways.
