What Risks Are Associated With Forklift Accidents in Workplaces
Forklifts are widely used in retail and industrial settings to move heavy materials. Accidents can occur when equipment is operated in tight spaces or near foot traffic. Limited visibility, especially when carrying large loads, can increase the risk of striking a person or object.
Workplace layouts and busy environments may also contribute to hazards. Uneven surfaces, sudden stops, or improper handling of loads can lead to loss of control. Training and clear safety zones are often used to help reduce these risks.
Protective measures, such as designated walkways and awareness of surroundings, can help lower the chance of injury. Equipment maintenance and safe operating practices also play a role in reducing incidents involving forklifts.
