Hammond, IN (January 7, 2026) – A crash near the intersection of Elm Ave and Chicago St in Hammond left one person with reported injuries on the afternoon of January 6. The incident occurred around 2:11 p.m. and involved at least one vehicle. Emergency crews and police responded to the scene shortly after the crash was reported.
According to dispatch information, a 24-year-old individual involved in the collision complained of chest pain following the impact.
