Hampton, VA (January 2, 2026) – Emergency crews responded Wednesday afternoon to a traffic collision with reported injuries near the intersection of Big Bethel Rd and Hampton Roads Center Pkwy in Hampton. The incident was reported around 3:32 p.m. and involved two vehicles.
Initial dispatch audio indicated that a 62-year-old individual involved in the crash was experiencing head pain. Medic 6 and Ladder 11 were dispatched to the scene, along with a police cadet, as responders worked to confirm the precise location of the accident.
After a brief search along the intersection, emergency units successfully located the vehicles on Hampton Roads Center Parkway. Medical personnel assessed the injured individual and provided necessary treatment at the scene. The extent of the injuries has not been fully released, but the response was prioritized due to the nature of the complaint.
Traffic in the area was temporarily affected while crews worked to evaluate the scene and ensure safety. An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
