Why Motorcycle Crashes at City Intersections Can Result in Severe Injuries
Motorcycle crashes at intersections often lead to serious injuries because riders have limited physical protection during impact. Collisions involving turning vehicles or crossing traffic can happen quickly, leaving little time for riders to avoid a crash.
Urban intersections may also involve heavy traffic flow, changing signals, and limited visibility between vehicles. Motorcycles can be harder for drivers to notice, especially during evening hours or in congested areas.
When a motorcycle carries a passenger, injuries can affect multiple people at once due to direct exposure to the roadway and surrounding vehicles. Investigators typically review traffic signals, vehicle movement, and roadway evidence to determine how the collision occurred.
