What Factors Are Common in Intersection Crashes Involving Two Vehicles?
Crashes at intersections often happen when drivers misjudge timing or fail to yield the right of way. Even a brief lapse in attention can lead to vehicles entering the same space at the same time.
Vehicle speed and positioning also affect how these collisions unfold. Side impacts are common at intersections and can lead to significant damage, especially on the driver’s side.
Traffic signals, signage, and road visibility also play a part. Clear markings and cautious driving can help reduce the likelihood of crashes in these areas.
