Anaheim, CA (July 8, 2026) – A hit-and-run involving at least two vehicles left one or more people injured early on Sunday morning, July 5, on eastbound State Route 91 near State Route 241 in Anaheim.
According to the California Highway Patrol traffic log, the call came in shortly after 2:09 a.m. Initial reports indicated that a black sedan and a black SUV were blocking the fast lanes, while another caller reported a silver Volkswagen Atlas was involved with an unidentified vehicle farther west of the main roadway. The reports suggested the vehicles were positioned in the fast lane and the No. 1 lane of the main lanes, creating a traffic hazard.
Emergency units were dispatched to assist, and traffic was temporarily stopped in the fast lanes while crews worked at the site. By around 2:37 a.m., all lanes had reopened after the vehicles were moved to the right shoulder.
The cause of the hit-and-run remains under investigation as officials work to determine what led up to the roadway encounter.
