Indianapolis, IN (March 8, 2026) – At least one person was injured early on Sunday morning following a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 65 on Indianapolis’ near north side, according to authorities.
Officials with the Indiana State Police said troopers received reports of a crash just before 4:30 a.m. along Interstate 65 northbound near mile marker 117.5. The crash occurred between Cold Springs Road and West 38th Street on the city’s near north side.
When first responders arrived, they found two passenger vehicles that had collided along the northbound lanes of the interstate. Emergency crews assisted those involved and began investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Authorities confirmed that at least one individual was transported to a local hospital for treatment, and they did not immediately release details about the severity of the injuries.
The northbound lanes of Interstate 65 were closed for several hours while emergency personnel cleared the wreckage and investigators documented evidence from the scene. The Indiana State Police continues to investigate the crash, and additional information has not yet been released.
