Indianapolis, IN (January 9, 2026) – A 52-year-old man was injured early Friday morning after being struck in a hit-and-run incident near 3350 E Washington St in the Near Eastside neighborhood. The incident occurred at approximately 12:35 a.m., prompting a rapid response from Indianapolis Fire Department units, EMS, and law enforcement officers.
According to initial reports, the injured man was located at a Taco Bell, where he informed responders that he had been hit by a truck at a different location. Medics evaluated the victim on scene and noted complaints of elbow and foot pain. Though no visible injuries were immediately evident, he was transported to Methodist Hospital for further evaluation and care.
