How Losing Control of a Vehicle Can Lead to Roadway Crashes
A driver losing control of a vehicle can occur for several reasons, including sudden steering changes, roadway conditions, speed, or unexpected traffic. Once a vehicle leaves its intended path, it may collide with other vehicles, roadside objects, or areas beyond the roadway.
Roadway departures can become more serious when vehicles enter ditches, canals, or other uneven areas. Drivers can reduce risks by maintaining safe speeds, staying focused, and adjusting their driving to match road conditions. Regular vehicle maintenance, including checking tires and brakes, can also help improve vehicle control and safety.
