Kershaw County, SC (January 19, 2026) – A deadly collision in northern Kershaw County claimed one life at the intersection of McBee Highway and Mount Pisgah Road, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 1:55 p.m. when a 2025 Chevrolet pickup traveling southbound on McBee Highway collided with a 2013 GMC Terrain that was crossing the intersection from Mount Pisgah Rd. Authorities reported that two individuals were inside the pickup truck, while three occupants were in the GMC Terrain.
The front-seat passenger in the Terrain suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash and was pronounced dead following the impact. The names of those involved have not yet been released, and no other injuries were reported among the remaining vehicle occupants.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene to assess the situation and assist those involved. The area was temporarily impacted as investigators began reviewing roadway evidence and witness accounts.
South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the crash to determine what led to the fatal collision.
