La Jolla, CA (January 11, 2026) – A T-bone collision involving two vehicles led to a mild trauma response on Friday night in La Jolla. The crash occurred around 10:55 p.m. on January 10 along Genesee Ave, prompting paramedics to transport one individual to Scripps La Jolla Hospital for evaluation.
First responders provided care to a male driver who was involved in the crash. The driver, who was traveling in a truck at approximately 30 mph, collided with another vehicle, impacting the front side of his vehicle. Airbags deployed during the crash, and the driver was properly restrained at the time of the incident. Emergency medical personnel reported that the patient was alert and stable, with his only complaint being ringing in the right ear. There were no outward signs of trauma, and he denied any head, neck, or back pain.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation. Officials have not confirmed whether any contributing factors, such as distraction or failure to yield, were involved. No other injuries were reported at the time of the response.
