Lincoln, NE (January 14, 2026) – A 65-year-old bicyclist was injured on Sunday afternoon following a collision with a vehicle at the intersection of N 27th St and Fairfield St in Lincoln.
The incident occurred at approximately 12:22 p.m., prompting a Delta-level medical response from Engine 5 and Medic 5. Emergency personnel arrived on scene and located the injured man, who was alert and conscious but reported pain in both ankles.
Fire and EMS crews evaluated and treated the bicyclist on-site. It has not been confirmed whether he was transported for additional medical care. The vehicle involved remained at the scene as responders worked to manage the incident.
Traffic was temporarily impacted in the area while emergency crews assisted and conducted a preliminary assessment. The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.
