Los Angeles, CA (January 18, 2026) – A crash involving a pedestrian and two vehicles took place on the 405 Freeway near El Segundo Boulevard, leaving multiple people injured.
Medics and fire crews from Los Angeles responded shortly after 11:19 p.m. following reports of a serious collision in the southbound lanes of Interstate 405. According to the California Highway Patrol, a pedestrian was struck by two vehicles under circumstances that remain under investigation.
First responders located two vehicles near the scene along with a pedestrian suffering from serious injuries. The injured individual was transported to a local hospital for emergency care. Another person involved in the crash was also hospitalized, though the extent of their injuries has not been confirmed.
Authorities have not yet released the names of those involved. Investigators are working to determine the events leading up to the crash and whether any external factors contributed.
