Stockton, CA (January 18, 2026) – An early morning collision involving two vehicles left one person seriously injured on the southbound side of the Interstate 5 Freeway near Lathrop Road in Stockton. The crash occurred around 1:08 a.m.
Medics and emergency responders from Stockton Fire and Rescue arrived at the scene shortly after the collision and provided urgent care to the injured individual. The victim, who sustained serious injuries, was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Their current condition has not been released.
The California Highway Patrol confirmed that two vehicles were involved in the crash, though the exact events leading up to the impact remain under investigation. Authorities have not yet identified the drivers or passengers involved, and it is unclear whether any additional injuries occurred.
