Lower Nazareth Township, PA (May 9, 2026) – One person was killed following a three-vehicle crash on Friday afternoon on Route 33 North in Northampton County.
Emergency units responded around 1:20 p.m. to the area near Red Mill Road, just past Exit 183, after reports of a serious multi-vehicle collision. According to reports, at least two vehicles were involved in the crash on Route 33 North near the Hecktown Road area in Lower Nazareth Township.
Authorities confirmed that one person died as a result of the crash. Additional details about other possible injuries have not yet been released. Traffic in the area was heavily affected, with northbound lanes backed up for several hours while emergency crews worked at the scene.
The right lane later reopened around 4:20 p.m., according to transportation officials, while investigators continued their work in the area.
