Marysville, OH (April 1, 2026) – A serious multi-vehicle crash was reported early on Wednesday morning, April 1, along US 33 near the interchange with SR 4 and SR 31.
Emergency units were dispatched to the scene around 2:10 a.m. Upon arrival, crews found one vehicle fully engulfed in flames. The situation required an immediate response to contain the fire and assist those involved.
Preliminary findings show that the driver of the burning vehicle was ejected during the crash. Despite severe injuries, he remained conscious and was able to speak with responders at the scene. He was first taken to Memorial Hospital and later transferred to a hospital in the Columbus area for further treatment.
Details about the number of vehicles involved have not yet been released. Westbound lanes of US 33 were shut down for several hours as crews cleared debris and worked the scene. The roadway reopened shortly after 5:30 a.m.
