Why Early-Morning Intersection Crashes Can Be Severe
Crashes that occur in the early morning hours often involve reduced traffic but can still result in serious injuries due to speed and limited visibility. Intersections like Walnut Grove Road and Farm Road can be especially dangerous when drivers misjudge traffic signals or fail to anticipate cross-traffic.
Investigators typically review signal timing, vehicle speeds, and roadway lighting conditions when examining intersection crashes. In multi-vehicle incidents, the sequence of impacts and driver reaction time are also key factors. Even when fewer vehicles are involved, high-speed collisions at intersections can lead to significant injuries requiring emergency hospitalization.
